All prices include HST and processing.  If it is a full OTC program (not a seminar or clinic) the price also includes club membership fee of $30/yr.

OTC Swim Program
The OTC swim program is aimed at helping participants develop a strong, efficient, stroke then add further fitness and power to the equation. The result is fitness, strength and speed.  Ample opportunity will be given for those more experienced swimmers to maximize their volume while new swimmers will only swim as much as they are comfortable with.  All participants will benefit from ongoing feedback from the coach.  While we welcome all levels, we do ask that you are able to swim 50m continuously before starting the program.  We train indoors from first week of October to the last week of June after which our swim program moves to Britannia Beach for open water swims for July and August.  Most of our members register for one coached club swim per week.  Many members swim an additional session(s) on their own during the week while some simply do the one swim with the club.  This year we introduce more sessions and a multi-swim registration option for the first time.  (Note: Tues, Thurs, Sat, and Sun swims are all sold out.)

Triathlon Seminar
A comprehensive 3-hour lecture session covering all important aspects of training for triathlon.  This seminar is aimed at the beginner to intermediate participant and will utilize PowerPoint presentations and video.  This presentation is aimed specifically at those who are not OTC members but members are certainly welcome!

Cost: $34.77

Swim School Clinic
Swimming has the highest skill level of the three sports so we have a special clinic which combines an hour long presentation, giving you a theoretical understanding, with an hour in the pool, which connects your brain to your body!  You will learn and practice a drill progression which will become your short cut to a relaxed and efficient stroke.
Next date: February 9, 2012
Cost: $57.95
All proceeds go to charity.

Running Courses
We'll have a full slate of run courses in January available to everyone through our sister organization, The Ottawa Running Club.  From Build to 5k through Speed Work and Marathon Training, we'll have it all covered.  Our certified coaches direct all club programs which include Sunday long run, Tuesday tempo and, from May through August, Thursday track. A fully volunteer-run organization, we donate over $10,000 to charity each year.
Cost: $60 (for a full year's running!)
All proceeds go to charity.

2012 Triathlon Training Program (TTP)
This is the OTC's signature program that trains you from start to finish, guiding you to your goals.  You'll be part of a training group which will meet once per week with your coach for a two hour workout from January through August.  Classes are held at the OTC studio and are scheduled for 6pm or 8pm on Monday through Thursday evenings and on Saturday at 8am and 10am.  In the winter, the classes feature an indoor spin, muscular strength training and flexibility.  In the spring, we add a short jog/run to the two hour session.  There is much more to the TTP too, including: unlimited drop-in's, track workouts, bike fits, specialized training equipment....all included in the cost!

An active skill clinic that will cover all of the important elements of open water swim, bike, run and transitions.  This program is designed to put you on the fast track to your triathlon goals.  Learn the skills, find out the secrets, and leave at the end of the day with a training plan that will get you to where you want to go.

This is the OTC's signature program that trains you from start to finish, guiding you to your goals.  You'll be part of a training group which will meet once per week with your coach for a two hour workout from May through August.  Classes are held at the OTC studio and are scheduled for 6pm or 8pm on Monday through Thursday evenings.   The classes feature a high intensity indoor spin class, with coaching on technique and pacing, followed by a transition run, muscular strength training and flexibility.  It's like doing a mini-triathlon each week with your coach.  There is much more to the TTP too, including: unlimited drop-in's, track workouts, bike fits, specialized training equipment....all included in the cost!  Space is limited.

Track Program

Open Water Swim

Our open water program helps you to learn the key skills and do race simulations to gain confidence, comfort and fitness.  Each workout will include coaching, drills and practice in key skills such as sighting, turning and swimming in a crowd.  The open water swims are included as part of our annual swim program.  Each summer we usually have room for some additional swimmers.  Join our mailing list

Tour de France Cycling
About the Program: Our state of the art Revmaster spinner bikes are the ideal tool to simulate real biking.  With guidance from OTC coaches, you'll learn proper cycling techniques, build your fitness, and have fun all at the same time.  Remember, while we work hard, we believe that enough breath should always be preserved for laughter! The best part: we take you on a 13-ride simulation of an actual multi-stage race!  Each class is one hour in duration and will feature all of the sprints and climbs of the real race.  All classes take place in the OTC studio located on Wellington near Holland and will feature video and music.  As with all of our OTC classes, you are permitted
unlimited drop-in's to other TDF classes: if there is a bike free, it's yours!
Benefits: FUN, cycling technique, muscular fitness, cardio-vascular fitness, endurance, leg power, learn about racing

Yoga for Triathletes, by Triathletes
About the Program:
This ancient practice features the use of breathing and postures to bring the body and mind into balance, and results in increased flexibility and peace of mind.  It is considered an excellent off season form of training by many triathletes.  Each class is one hour in duration.
Benefits: FUN, relaxation, flexibility, muscular strength

Session: 13 weeks, September 19th through December 16th
